Rosselkhoznadzor proposed to strengthen control over grain exports

To date, Rosselkhoznadzor is preparing some proposals to strengthen control over grain shipments from Russia, reported the Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergey Dankvert.

According to him, Russia is already the large-scale country-exporter. To date, any company can export products of any qualitative condition, and the government cannot provide the complete control.

S.Dankvert said that Rosselkhoznadzor already informed the Deputy Prime Minister, Alexei Gordeyev that it was necessary to change the forms of export allowance.

There are several countries, which have the specific requirements Russia grain crops: it is necessary either to license the business activity, or impose the declarative method. Therefore, the Russian authorities will move to the reliably different level. For several countries, Rosselkhoznadzor will propose licensing of the export operations, including some strengthening of the role of state-owned companies, such as United Grain Company and SC Foreign economic corporation Prodintorg, said S.Dankvert.

As a reminder, in October 2018 Rosselkhoznadzor declared about the plans to inspect all terminals for Russian grain exports after detection of the large-scale violations in the south of Russia. In particular, the Federal Service charge its local offices to strengthen control over the quarantine phytosanitary condition of the shipping places in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov oblast.
